Working with the best

Whether it’s PGI Scotch Beef, line-caught mussels from Mull or a packet of freshly baked morning rolls, we’re proud to source the very best in Scottish food and drink from all over the country – from Scotland’s larder to yours.

We work with Red Tractor and the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) to ensure the meat, fish and poultry sold in stores come from suppliers who adhere to their independent ethical and environmental standards. To keep the whole family happy, we also offer the everyday brands you love at prices you’ll like even more. From Orkney to Edinburgh, no matter where you live you can be sure to find the same great value in every store, too.

Proud of your produce? We are always looking to grow our range of Scottish products for our customers, and welcome quality suppliers from across Scotland to get in touch.

Beef farmer

John, our Scotch Beef farmer from Perthshire

John is a third generation farmer who supplies us with our Deluxe Scotch Beef, and his three hundred cattle are Scotland born and bred. They roam free in the spring and summer month, feeding on the lush green grass of the Lowlands: ‘The traditional way of feeding cattle is grazing grass,’ he says. ‘The spring grass has so much energy that the cattle really thrive.’

Mussel farmer

Douglas, our mussel farmer from Mull

Douglas Wilson has been farming at Inverlussa Mussel Farm on the Isle of Mull since the 1980s, growing his MSC-accredited shellfish in the A-grade waters of Loch Spelve Douglas and his team work hard to ensure their farming methods are environmentally friendly and sustainable: ‘We’ve been farming here for nearly 30 years. If it wasn’t sustainable, we wouldn’t be in business!’.

Donald & Sons

Lee Godfrey of Browns Food Group, North Berwick

The Donald & Sons range is quintessentially Scottish. Hearty breakfasts are sorted with lorne sausage, black pudding and other stalwarts (perfect when you need them most), plus there’s traditional haggis for suppers and celebrations.

“We have been producing Haggis for over 30 years, our traditional recipes are made using quality ingredients at our site in North Berwick, East Lothian.”

Andrew, our berry farmer from Fife

Investing in polytunnels and eco-friendly heating methods, the team at Andrew’s family farm are able to sustainably grow fruit for longer than the traditional British berry season. The fruit is packed as it’s picked: ‘every berry is picked by hand and we’re proud to put a lot of care into the process.’
