FAQ's
We’ve rewritten the British Christmas classic ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’ with new lyrics to create ‘Lidl Christmas Everybody’. The original song was released by Slade, fronted by Noddy Holder in December 1973, when it hit Christmas number one and stayed in the UK charts for nine weeks.
As well as our star Shaun Williamson, you’ll see special appearances from Capital FM’s Kemi Rodgers, comedian and host Abi Clarke and the one and only football legend, Chris Kamara.
Shaun Williamson reminisces over the Slade Christmas song, wondering what it would be like to wish everybody a merry Christmas. He has an idea and heads to his local Lidl to stock up on everything Christmas. Then we follow him down his street, where he knocks on the doors of his neighbours, giving Lidl gifts and building a crowd of followers behind him.
