Children's fashion for autumn and spring
Autumn and spring are great for kids! Rain showers and puddles that are just waiting to be jumped in and the first hint of warm weather in spring are just some of the delights these transitional seasons can offer them. We'll show you how to get your children ready for autumn and spring with the right clothes.

Layers for more fun outdoors
Transitional fashion for children has one main job: to accompany the little ones in all weather conditions without restricting freedom of movement. If you can't predict the weather or the temperature in the morning, the only thing that helps is skilful layering. Start with a shirt, add a jumper and finish off with a cardigan or transitional jacket. If the temperature rises, you can easily remove layers. The layers close to their body should ideally be made of natural fibres such as wool-silk or cotton, while water-repellent fabrics for the top layer protect them from unexpected showers. The transitional jacket should have reflectors to improve visibility and make them seen by passing traffic – particularly important for autumn. Anti-wind details such as cuffs with Velcro fasteners and high collars are also a smart choice.

Transitional outfits for little puddle jumpers
Few kids can resist a big puddle! That's why wellies are the perfect shoes for wet weather. They are colourful and easy to put on and take off. Modern children's models have many smart details. For example, colourful lights for more visibility in bad weather and at night, or soft linings with different warmth levels. The most important feature, however, is the profiled sole, which prevents unwanted slipping on wet leaves or rainy paths.

Accessories for wind and weather
Whether it's autumn or spring the transitional season can be a cold one. To ensure that your little ones start the next season in good health, they should not leave the house without warm socks, a suitable hat and neck protection. Depending on the weather, light scarves and a cap may be enough, but on some mornings, a woollen outfit and gloves may be necessary. It's best to opt for accessories that are difficult to lose, such as tube scarves and hats with ties. It's always worth having a few more items in the wardrobe, as things can get lost when running around and playing.
