Woodcote

We source our Woodcote eggs as locally as possible, and all our hens are reared in the UK to high welfare standards. This means you can be sure the Lidl eggs you’re buying are of the best possible quality, whether you’re using them for brunch, baking or as a high protein lunchbox snack. Read on for more information about our suppliers, their hens and these welfare standards.

Free Range Eggs

Following current government guidance, all of our British free range hens are temporarily housed in barns for their welfare, reducing the risk of bird flu.

Animal welfare is a top priority for Lidl, and we are ensuring that the highest standards of animal welfare are being maintained during this time, allowing birds the freedom to express natural behaviour, including perching and roosting while they are temporarily indoors.

This means that our free range and organic eggs (including British free range and organic eggs as an ingredient) are currently classed as barn eggs until further guidance is issued from government.

You will see further guidance in store advising you on this temporary change.
