To be a Master of Wine is to hold an internationally recognised qualification of expertise. The title is granted by the Institute of Masters of Wine following a series of intense examinations.
Our Bampfield Points System
As you browse our wine selection either online or in store, you’ll notice a number beside each bottle, ranging from 80 to 100. This is the rating is given by our Master of Wine, Richard Bampfield, and these ‘Bampfield points’ show you how the wine has been rated – ranging from good, solid wines to great bottles.
