From the dark-skinned version of the Malvasia grape, this example is a ripe, tasty red from Italy’s Southern Puglia region. With a mouth-filling flavour of ripe, dried cherry, this wine is not too dry, and would be an excellent food pairing for dishes such as pepperoni pizza, barbecue or aubergine parmigiana.
