Follow Debbie's journey to Norfolk.
Meet Debbie. She’s a receptionist from Spinningfields in Manchester, who was concerned our turkeys were kept in a prison. So we invited her to come and work on one of our turkey farms for a day to show her what free-range really means.
After experiencing Tony’s farm in Norfolk, Debbie couldn’t believe how many acres they had to roam in and the effort Tony puts into ensuring his birds are healthy and happy. And she was pretty pleased with her invite to Tony’s Christmas party too.
Tony the turkey farmer takes us around his Norfolk farm.
Meet Tony Kerry, poultry farmer. He’s been working on the farm ever since his father first bought it back in 1946 and we’re proud to have his expertise.
Christmas is a very busy time for Tony and his family. He rears around 15,000 turkeys round the clock with the help of his wife, his son and his son’s girlfriend. They make sure every single bird is cared for and have everything they need, from fresh straw that keeps their feet dry, to the apples that keep their diet varied. Tony admits it’s hard work and believes you really have to be passionate about what you are doing. We’re delighted he is and count ourselves lucky to have people like the Kerry family producing our Turkeys.
